SUMMERSTRAND SURF LIFESAVING CLUB
Situated at Pollock Beach in Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth, the Summerstrand Surf Lifesaving Club was founded in 1956 by local ocean and water sports enthusiasts to offer volunteer lifesaving services at Pollock beach. Today the Club has approximately 190 junior/senior/master members of which 60 are actively doing duty. We also have a large group of Nippers (6-14 years of age) that get together on Sunday’s at Pollock Beach to enjoy the beach and the ocean.
Summerstrand Surf Lifesaving Club performs a voluntary lifesaving duty to the community of Port Elizabeth. We perform our duties on Sundays and public holidays during the months of November to April.
